Times Higher Education (THE) has recently released the World University Rankings for 2023. This year, University of Oxford is ranked the first, being the world's best performing school. For the top 10 universities, 3 are from the UK including University of Oxford which is ranked the first, University of Cambridge which is ranked the third, and Imperial College London which is ranked the tenth.
Another significant finding shown in the data this year is that there is a shift towards the East. For example, China continues to improve, with Tsinghua University and Peking University ranked in the 16th and 17th respectively.
