About the School
Bedford School is an independent boarding school with outstanding academic results.
Although being a boys’ school, there is partnership with Bedford Girls’ School, a single sex girls’ school, to provide various joint activities such as lectures, swimming galas, theatre productions, film evenings and a lot more.
At sixth form, IB programme is also provided apart from A-Level programme.
From Year 5, full boarding is offered with one prep boarding house and six upper boarding houses available.

Exam Results and University Destinations
In 2022, at GCSE, 69% of the grades were 9-7. At A-Level, 53% of the grades were A*-A. At IB, the average point was 35.1.
In 2022, 91% of leavers accepted offers at their first or second choice universities with no fewer than eights boys securing places to study medicine, and also six boys going on to Oxbridge.
Extra-Curricular Activities
Bedford School is renowned for its four major sports of cricket, hockey, rowing and rugby, at which students consistently compete at the highest level of school sport.
There are also over 100 music activities and drama productions respectively throughout the year.
Facilities
The first-class sports facilities in the 50-acre campus include a twin AstroTurf complex with floodlights, an indoor 25m swimming pool, 28 tennis courts, 4 squash courts, a climbing wall, a superbly equipped fitness suite and immaculate grass pitches.
