About the School
Channing School is an independent day School which has been a centre of academic excellence in North London for more than 130 years and has been consistently ranked in the top 50 schools in the UK.
In order to get every student to be understood and supported, Channing has their unique system of Personalised Education. A “10% braver” approach is also embedded to empower their girls in every endeavour.

Exam Results and University Destinations
In 2021, at GCSE, 50.1% of the grades were 9, 78.1% were 9-8, 92.4% were 9-7. At A-Level, 59% of the grades were A*, 91.5% were A*-A, and 97.5% were A*-B.
Each year more than 85% of the leavers head to their first-choice university. In 2021, 4 leavers successfully went on to Oxbridge, including 3 going on to Cambridge and 1 going on to Oxford.
Extra-Curricular Activities
Music is very popular at Channing and concerts take place every term such as informal recitals, and their popular ‘Music at Teatime’ where staff and students can relax and enjoy a range of student performances each week.
Channing has also been selected as one of The Cricketer’s Top 20 all-girls schools for cricket in the UK.
Facilities
There are a wide range of state-of-the-art music facilities including 13 practice/teaching rooms equipped with high quality upright pianos, fully soundproofed percussion studio, and the Music Technology room.
