About the School
James Allen’s Girls’ School is a top academic day school which is the oldest independent girls’ school in London and is placed in the top 20 schools for A Level results nationally.
In the Sixth Form, the curriculum is not only about A Level subjects, but also includes a choice of subject-based societies and ‘Skills for Life’ courses, both designed to enrich the students’ full educational experience.

Exam Results and University Destinations
In 2021, at GCSE, 71% of the grades were 9, 93% were 9-8, and 99% were 9-7. At A-Level, 61% of the grades were A*, and 93% were A*-A.
In 2021, 78% of the leavers went on to study at Russell Group universities, with 41% went on to study STEM subjects. Also, 4 leavers successfully went on to Oxbridge, including 3 going on to Cambridge and 1 going on to Oxford.
Extra-Curricular Activities
Music is deep-rooted in JAGS and there are numerous groups ranging from orchestras to Gospel Choir, wind bands and much more.
There are also plenty of drama opportunities for students to develop their talents whether in acting, directing, writing or technical theatre
