Sheffield Girls' School is one of the top performing schools in Yorkshire, being committed to creating an equal and inclusive girls-only learning environment.
In 2021, they achieved Unicef Rights Respecting Schools Silver Award.Sheffield Girls' maintains excellent student-teacher ratios to support each pupil’s well being and development as individuals. The average class size for different year groups is below 20. For sixth form, the average class size is as low as 8.
In the sixth form, their tutorial system and programme of lunchtime and evening careers events ensure that pupils understand the range of options available and are fully supported to make the right decisions.

Exam Results and University Destinations
In 2021, at GCSE, 67% of the grades were A*/9-8, 84% were A*-A/9-7 and 99% were A*-C/9-4. At A Level, 48% of the grades were A*, 79% were A*-A and 97% were A*-C.
The majority of the leavers choose to go on to Higher Education every year with approximately 10% apply for Oxbridge. In 2021, 40 leavers successfully went on to Russell Group universities including 4 at Oxbridge.
Extra-Curricular Activities
Over 100 different clubs and activities are offered for girls to try out different things and discover talents they never realised. School trips are also organised regularly such as day visits within the UK and language trips to Europe.Year 7 and 8 pupils also participate in the Pre Senior Baccalaureate, which brings together the academic curriculum with character education, co-curricular involvement, community activities, and roles of responsibility and leadership.
Facilities
Outstanding facilities in music, ICT, sport, the library and more are offered, for example, all-weather pitches for outdoor sports like hockey, netball and tennis, a learning resource centre, a careers library in the Sixth Form Centre, and access to individual devices including iPads and Chromebooks.
