About the School
South Hampstead High School is a leading independent day school in the UK, and also a GDST school. They aim to foster a culture of curiosity and kindness, preparing young women for an exciting future and to play their part in the world.
The Futures Programme is developed to equip students for life beyond the school years, for example, helping them to develop CVs, to explore unusual career options, to gain work experience and skills.

Exam Results and University Destinations
In 2021, at GCSE, 68.7% of the grades were 9, 83.1% were 9-8, and 94% were 9-7. At A-Level, 71.1% of the grades were A*, 95.4% were A*-A, and 98.9% were A*-B.
Typically, 80% of the leavers go on to study at Russell Group universities each year. From 2019 to 2021, 20% of students received offers from Oxbridge. In 2021, 17 leavers successfully went on to Oxbridge, including 9 going on to Cambridge and 8 going on to Oxford.
Extra-Curricular Activities
There are over 140 co-curricular clubs and activities for students to choose from. For example, cricket and football are key sports at SHHS, along with netball, cross-country and gymnastics.
Also, there are more than 50 music concerts performed every year.
Facilities
SHHS has on-site sports facilities and four-acre sports ground nearby. For example, there are a premier league cricket pitch, numerous netball and tennis courts, a dance studio and fitness suite.
There are also specialised facilities for arts activities, from film-making and sculpture to life-drawing and ceramics.
