About the School
The King's School Chester is an independent day school which is academically selective and have been providing outstanding education for over 480 years with both long-standing traditions and 21st Century innovations. The co-education approach enable boys and girls to learn collaboratively and recognise their differences.

Exam Results and University Destinations
In 2022, at GCSE, 32.1% of the grades were 9, 58.6% were 9-8, and 78.8% were 9-7. At A Level, 34.8% were A*, 66.7% were A*-A, and 85.2% were A*-B.
With the outstanding results, 80% of the leavers secured their first-place university place in 2022, including six successfully going on to Oxbridge.
Extra-Curricular Activities
A wide range of activities including Sport (e.g. fencing, weight training and hockey), Music (e.g. choir, instrumental teaching and concerts), Drama, Leadership (e.g. Combined Cadet Force, and Duke of Edinburgh’s Award), and Rowing are offered to students.
Facilities
The new £4.5m Sports Centre houses a multi-purpose studio for classes such as Pilates, yoga, gymnastics and aerobics, a fitness gym suite, with a dedicated area for ergo/rowing machines and other facilities including a classroom.
The centre is also a new home for the King’s Combined Cadet Force and is complemented with a sports quad, with a seating and landscaped area.
