About the School
Guildford High School is an independent day school providing first-class education and a happy learning environment. In 2021, GHS were selected as an Apple Distinguished School for the continuous innovation in learning, teaching and the school environment.
From Year 7 to 9, students will have Current Affairs lessons that emphasises on discussion, debate, and presentation skills. The homework burden is also light to make lessons fun and engaging.
In Sixth Form, lessons are more independent, discussion-based and tutorial-style to allow more in-depth study.

Exam Results and University Destinations
In 2020, at GCSE, 71.3% of the grades were 9, 90.3% were 9-8, and 98.2% were 9-7. At A-Level, 55.7% of the grades were A*, 90.2% were A*-A and 99% were A*-B.
In 2020, 18 leavers successfully went on to Oxbridge, including 13 going on to Cambridge and 5 going on to Oxford.
Extra-Curricular Activities
There are 17 different sports clubs for students to choose from weekly, for example, netball, cricket, gymnastics and athletics. In 2021, GHS were named in the top 20 all-girls cricketing schools in the UK.
Students can also participate in other activities such as voluntary reading groups, visits, internal and external essay competitions.
Facilities
The Guildford Spectrum Athletics Stadium comprises a 400m, eight lane international standard track and full complement of field facilities for athletics training, competitions and sports days.
Also, the Sports Centre comprises a six-lane 25m pool, full-size sports hall, lacrosse pitches, fitness suite, five netball courts and six tennis courts.
